Deciding the best place to watch the sunset in Key West is difficult, because they are all pretty amazing.
So it will all depend on your budget and the experience you are looking to have. These are some of my favorite places:
Mallory Square
Mallory Square is the most traditional place for watching the sunset on the island – and also one of the best places to watch Sunsets in Key West. I would go there every chance I could and it never got any less amazing!
If you can, get to Mallory around two hours before sunset. That way, you can secure a good place at the edge of the water, watch some of the many great artists performing at the square and even enjoy some good old Key West Sunset Ale.

From a Key West Sunset Cruise
This is my favorite! I went on a sunset cruise in my last week living in Key West, and it was just so special.
The sail lasts around two hours and is one of the best things to do in Key West, in my opinion. There is tropical live music, complimentary food, an amazing view of the sunset, and bottomless margaritas.
Does it ever get better than that? I don’t think so!
Sunset Cam
If you miss Key West and wish you could be there right now, you can always watch the sunset from one of the Key West sunset cams. This one is the best.
Fort Zachary Taylor State Park
Fort Zachary Taylor State Park is another perfect place to catch the sunset in Key West.
After an afternoon enjoying the beach, sit by the rocks and you will see some views you will never forget.
Latitudes in Sunset Key
Last but not least, Latitudes is an amazing restaurant located in Sunset Key, an exclusive island right by Key West.
